What are PCI DSS standards? And how do I take the test?

PCI DSS stands for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

This is a standard that requires any organization that collects, processes, transmits or stores cardholder data to comply with and maintain the data security standards established by the payment industry worldwide and managed by the PCI Security Standards Council.

All merchants handling cardholder data must comply with this standard and with the payment card networks’ compliance programs. Those who fail to comply may be subject to fines, fees or assessments and/or termination of their processing services.

The measures in this standard help you prevent the theft of confidential cardholder data by assessing the security of this data within your company and, if necessary, improving your level of security to meet or exceed industry standards.

If you are one of our merchants and have received an email to perform the PCI test and are having difficulty completing the questionnaire, please send a request to PCI@NAXELLA.COM to assist you. We’ll be happy to guide you through the process.
